Having met up with Joanne and Louie in Belfast, I was really excited to photograph their wedding. I arrived at Ulster Cottages, where the girls were getting ready. Everyone was excited, and there was a great buzz about the place. While Joanne was getting her makeup done, she opened her present from Louie - a Dublin GAA top!
The ceremony was taking place in the Arcadia. While guests were arriving, I took some photos of the guys. Louie was getting a bit nervous, but all was running smoothly.
When Joanne arrived, crowds of people were admiring her dress. Louie smiled as he greeted his bride. The wedding ceremony was very tasteful and the Rev. Cupples delivered a thoughtful address.
Bridal party photos were taken at the beach beside the Arcadia. We had just about enough room to get some beside the sea. While the guests headed to the reception, Joanne and Louie went to Dunluce. There was two bus loads of tourists there when we arrived, but luckily they left shortly afterwards. Louie and Joanne were willing to jump a fence in order to get that perfect shot, and what a shot it turned out to be! We headed onto Whiterocks for a few more portraits, although the wind was picking up.
Upon arriving to the reception, we started into family and group shots. The guests were relaxed and having a lovely day in the warmth. What a day they got!
The speeches were tastefully delivered, and it wasn't long until the dinner was over and the dancing begun. I took the opportunity to get more bridal portraits with Joanne and Louie overlooking Whiterocks. The Royal Court has such a stunning view.
The day was very relaxed and it was such a lovely day to document.
